Use actions to move information into connected apps

Apps connect your tools to Slack so your team can work faster together. Some apps come with built-in shortcuts called actions. Actions help you move work from Slack into a connected app. From any message in Slack, you can create a task, comment or follow up on existing work.

Benefits

  • Find an app’s available actions attached to any Slack message.
  • Quickly take action on a message without leaving Slack.
  • Prevent ideas, tasks and other information from being forgotten.

Tip: See some examples of how to use apps with actions

  2. Long-press on the message to see a list of available actions.
