Request a new team on your organization
While you can always
join an existing team on your organization, you can also create a brand new workspace. To get the ball rolling, you'll need to submit a request to your organization's administrators.
Click your team name to open the
Team Menu. Click
Find more teams. Click the
Request a New Team link at the top of your available teams. Include a
Team Name. You also have the option of adding a message to your organization's administrators. Click
Send Request. You'll receive a notification when your request has been reviewed.
Note: Some organizations have turned off the option to request new teams. In that case, connect with an Org Owner or Admin for help with creating new teams on your organization.
As soon as an organization administrator reviews your request, we'll let you know whether or not it was approved.
If you're already a member of another team on the organization, Slackbot will notify you. If you're not yet a member of any teams, we'll send you an email notification.
What's next? If approved, you're the Owner of the workspace. Go ahead, invite new members to the team!
Note: If your request was not approved, you may need to provide more information. We recommend getting in touch with an Org Owner or Admin for help.
