Manage your keyboard layout

On your desktop, Slack will automatically detect the layout of the keyboard you’re using to make sure the app is in sync. If for any reason the app doesn’t automatically detect this, you can manually adjust your keyboard preference.

Note: Slack supports the keyboard layouts for English (US), German, Spanish, French, and Japanese.

Select your keyboard layout

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.
  2. Choose Preferences from the menu.
  3. Select the Language & Region tab.
  4. Under Keyboard layout, use the drop-down menu to select an option.
