Slash commands

Slack offers a variety of slash commands, which act as shortcuts you can type into the message input box to perform an action. Just type "/" to see a full list of slash commands, including custom commands added to your team.

Add a custom slash command

You can add more slash commands to your team in two ways:

Who can use this feature?
  • By default, all members can use this feature. Team Owners can choose to limit access for members and Multi-Channel Guests
  • Available to teams on free and paid plans.
