Anytime your @username is mentioned by a teammate, Slack will send you a notification. You can also set up notifications for specific keywords so that you’re alerted to conversations or topics that are important to you.
For easy scanning, your keywords will be highlighted in yellow.
Keep in mind: Any keywords that are included in messages from bots or integrations won't trigger notifications, but they'll appear highlighted in Slack.
Click your team name to open the Team Menu.
Click the Notifications tab.
Under My keywords, enter words and phrases you’d like to be notified of in the text box.
Swipe left to open the right sidebar.
Tap My Keywords to add or edit words or phrases that will trigger notifications.
Tap the Overflow menu in the top right.
Tap Push notifications.
Add your desired highlight words under Add or edit keywords.
You're unable to add or edit keywords from a Windows Phone at the moment, but stay tuned for updates!
Note: Yourkeywords are not case-sensitive, so coffee, Coffee, and COFFEE will all create the same notification.
