Edit or delete messages

Mistkaes Mistakes happen, and in Slack, they're easy to correct. By default, it's possible to edit and delete the messages you send.

Workspace Owners can limit editing to a time frame once a message is sent, or turn off the ability to edit or delete altogether. You can access these options via the Permissions tab in Workspace Settings. Workspace Owners and Admins can also delete other members messages.

Note: If your Workspace Owner has turned off the ability to edit and/or delete messages, you will not see the option to take the steps below. Contact your Workspace Owner to discuss these settings.
