Edit or delete messages

Mistkaes Mistakes happen, and in Slack, they're easy to correct. By default, it's possible to edit and delete the messages you send. However, Workspace Owners and Admins can change this setting — they can adjust how long you have to edit or delete a message or turn off the ability to edit or delete messages altogether.

Workspace Owners can delete any message in a public channel or in private channels that they join.

Need more storage? We're afraid it's not possible to bulk delete your messages in Slack. However, Workspace Owners on our paid plans can set custom message and file retention policies, that let you to auto-delete data you no longer need.
