Some websites and services track information about where visitors to their site are coming (or being referred) from. This means when someone on your team clicks on a link that has been shared within Slack, their visit may be tracked and could potentially include your team’s URL.
Slack hides your team's URL from external sites' logs by default. When members click on an external link in Slack they will be sent through a redirect that removes your team’s information. You won't notice a thing — it all happens behind the scenes!
Hide your team’s URL from external sites’ logs:
Click your team name to open the Team Menu.
Select Team settings. This will open your team site.
Scroll to Hide your team URL from external sites’ logs.
Click Expand, then uncheck the box next to Hide your team URL from external sites’ logs.
