Join a Slack team
To join a Slack team, you'll need an invitation. 💌 There are a couple of ways to get one:
Join with an approved email address
Some teams will let you create an account with an email address on an approved domain, like @yourcompany.com. Just visit your team’s Sign Up page `
yourteam.slack.com/signup`, then enter your email address. Slack will send you an invitation email, and you can follow the steps below.
Get in touch with a Team Admin
If you haven’t received an invitation yet, contact an Administrator on the team and ask them to send (or resend) your invite.
If the email doesn’t arrive, be sure to check all the tabs, folders, and spam filters in your inbox. Still not there? See
Trouble receiving emails from Slack.
Accept an invitation
Once you’ve been invited to join a Slack team, the first step is setting up your account. Just click the link in your email invitation to get started:
Check your inbox for an invitation to join a Slack team.
Click the Join button.
On the signup page, enter your first and last name and choose a username.
When you’re ready, click Next .
Choose a password, then click Join team.
That’s it, you’re in! You can join as many Slack teams as you like — and you can even use the same email address. For more, see Sign in to multiple Slack teams . If you'd like to start a new team, see Create a Slack team.
Tip: If you joined a team from your mobile device, download one of our mobile apps to start using Slack right away.
