Delete shared files
Note: We're afraid it's not possible to bulk delete files, but we do offer API methods to help you manage them.
To delete a file:
Files page at my.slack.com/files. Click the file you'd like to delete. Currently, you can only delete one file at a time.
On the next page, click the
Actions icon at the top right. Select
Delete file. To confirm, click
Yes, delete this file.
From the Files page, you’ll be able to sort by All Files shared in public channels or view My Files to see all the files you’ve uploaded in Slack.
To help you find the file you want to delete, you can also view files from a specific member on the team or by a specific file type.
Choose the file you’d like to delete.

From a channel, locate the message with the file you'd like to delete.
Long press on the message.
Note: On paid plans, Team Administrators may have selected custom message and file retention policies, which would automatically delete messages and files after a certain period of time.
Who can use this feature?
Team Owners and Admins can delete any file shared in a public channel. Members can only delete their own files. Available to teams on
free and paid plans.
