Update billing details

Workspace Owners can update the information stored in Slack, like your payment method, company address, and other billing details.


Change your payment method

Whether your credit card is expired, canceled, or simply needs to be swapped out for a new one, you can easily update it.

Add a new card

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.

  2. Click Billing from the menu.
  3. Click Payment Methods.
  4. Under Add New Card, fill in the required fields.
  5. Click Add Card.

Choose a different card

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.

  2. Click Billing from the menu.
  3. Click Payment Methods.
  4. Under Existing Cards, choose a card and click Pay with this card.

Note: To remove an unwanted card from the list, just click the  icon next to that card.

Tip: We require monthly plans to be paid by credit card, but eligible workspaces on annual plans can pay by invoice.  Visit Paying for Slack for details.


Customize your statements

Need to customize your billing statements or the frequency of your billing emails? You’re in the right place! 

Edit your company name & address

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.
    Team_Menu.png
  2. Click Billing from the menu.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Edit your Company Name & Address.
  5. Click Save Settings.

Edit your VAT/ABN ID and business status

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.
    Team_Menu.png
  2. Click Billing from the menu.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Under Company Name & Address, select your Country from the drop down menu.
  5. Provide your business status (if required) and VAT or ABN ID. 
  6. Click Save Settings.

Choose email frequency

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.

  2. Click Billing from the menu.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Under Email Frequency, choose how often you'd like to receive email notifications of changes to your account.
  5. Click Save Settings.

Note: Workspace Owners can review billing changes and download copies of billing statements from the History tab. 

 

Add billing contacts

  1. From your desktop, click your workspace name in the top left.

  2. Click Billing from the menu.
  3. Click Contacts.
  4. Click Add a new billing contact.
  5. Select a member by username or enter any email address, then click Add billing contact.

 

Who can use this feature?
  • Only Workspace Owners can access this feature. 
  • Available on free and paid plans.
