Upgrade a free workspace to a paid plan

Looking to upgrade from the Free plan? That's great news — you're one step closer to accessing more Slack features! We've outlined everything you need to know to upgrade your workspace. 💸

Who can upgrade a workspace, and how?

  • By default, any member (except for guests) can upgrade a free workspace to a paid plan, but Workspace Owners can restrict this.
  • Payment can be made with a credit card, but some workspaces may qualify for self-serve invoicing. If you don't qualify, contact us so we can help.
  • Workspace Owners (or the person who upgrades a workspace) can manage payment and plan details from the Billing page.
