Automation apps for Slack

IFTTT and Zapier to automate tasks, reminders, and workflows.
IFTTT for Slack
IFTTT is a service that allows you to connect web applications together using the following statement: if this, then that. With the IFTTT app for Slack, use “if this, then that” recipes to get updates in Slack channels.
Tip: Before you connect IFTTT to Slack, make sure you first create an IFTTT account.
Connect IFTTT to Slack
Once you’ve created your account, use the steps below to connect to Slack:
IFTTT in Slack's App Directory. Click Visit site to navigate to
Connect. Select the Slack workspace you’d like IFTTT to access.
You can click
Create a New Recipe to create your own or browse a list of popular combinations. Review a list of Slack recipes that we think are pretty great.
Zapier for Slack
Zapier automatically moves info between your web apps — using workflows called Zaps — so that you can stay focused on your most important work.
Using the Zapier app, you can integrate Slack with hundreds of other apps and automate Slack tasks. You can make your own Zaps or browse from popular Zaps for Slack. Here are a couple of examples:
Trigger new Slack messages for events that occur in other apps.
Send the contents of a Slack message to another app when it’s starred (this is great for creating tasks in Trello, Asana or Todoist).
Tip: Before you connect Zapier to Slack, make sure you first create a Zapier account.
Connect Zapier to Slack
Once you’ve created your account, here’s how to connect Zapier to Slack:
Zapier in Slack’s App Directory. Click
Visit site or head straight to zapier.com/zapbook/slack/. If you’re not logged in, click
Log In in the top-right corner. Review and pick from popular Zaps for Slack by clicking
Use this Zap, or click Make a Zap to create you own. Follow the prompts to create your own Zap or install an existing one.
Zapier will prompt you to connect your Slack account. Click
Connect a New Account, then select your Slack workspace. Click
Save + Continue. Complete the setup of your Zap.
When you’re done, click
Create + Continue, then Finish.
